A video message from the Dean of the faculty of foreign students Betenekova E M
Altai State Medical University (ASMU) is one of the leading West Siberian medical universities conducting high quality medical training.
Six institutes of the University (Institutes of Clinical Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Clinical Psychology, Pharmacy, Public Health and Preventive Medicine) train approximately 5000 students a year. There is an extensive postgraduate programme as well as a retraining programme for medical personnel. Institute of Pre-University Training and Institute of Postgraduate Training provide continuous professional development of ASMU students and postgraduates.
Students and specialists from 27 countries study at ASMU this year. They are: Iraq, Egypt, Syrian Arab Republic, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, India, Morocco, Sweden, Venezuela, Tunisia, Ghana, Jordan, the USA, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Palestine, Greece, Iran. ASMU has its Association of Foreign Students.
Faculty of Foreign Students was estabished in the University in 2016. Students of this faculty are trained in «General Medicine», «Dentistry» and «Pharmacy» in the English language for the first three years with an intensive course of the Russian language which will allow them to go to clinical departments with other students starting with the fourth year.

International students enter the University according to the results of general entrance examination or entry examinations organized by the University itself (Biology, Chemistry).
List of Documents
The following original documents are required to be provided to the Admission Board:
1. Notarized translation of passport into Russian language.
2. Education certificate with consular legalization or bearing the Apostille stamp. More information on documents legalization: https://obrnadzor.gov.ru. Please note, education certificates obtained in the Russian Federation do not require legalization, Apostille stamps or Certificates of Recognition.
3. Notarized translation of the education certificate into Russian language.
4. Certificate of recognition of foreign education. It is provided by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor). Here you will find information on how to get the Certificate of Recognition: https://obrnadzor.gov.ru.
5. Filled in application for admission.
6. Medical Examination Certificate
All documents issued outside Russia must be legalized prior to submission in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation: undergo consular legalization (in the Consulate of the Russian Federation in the country where the document was issued) or bear an Apostille stamp (for documents issued in the countries that are parties to The Hague Convention). Original documents rather than copies should be legalized.
It is possible to fill in application form and apply for admission in electronic form using Personal Account of the Applicant. You can fill in application for admission with pointed direction of training and attached scanned copies of necessary documents.
